{ Missing Jacob }

Been having kindof a miss Jacob feeling lately and not quite sure what I want to say about it. Just felt the need to put it out there. I’m so bad at putting my feelings into words. I’ve posted a few LOs for Jacob’s album and somehow sweet encouraging comments tend to trickle in even weeks after I’ve posted them. I love the fact that people take the time to see our pictures of him and the lyrics or journaling (mostly lyrics) that I post on his pages. I swear sometimes those comments bring out the tears more than creating the page itself. I really have to be careful when to read them (at the office is usually a bad idea).

Anyway, I can’t imagine how big the waves of tears must be for my sister and BIL and I hope they know I’m here for a hug or to sift through photos and talk about those nights of holding him, of how he had the sweetest smile and the softest skin. I know it’s selfish ‘cuz he’s in a much better place but I sure wish he were here givin’ these two little munchkins a run for their money.

Miss ya like crazy bud.

Sorry for the emotional post. I’ll be back tomorrow and promise a much cheerier post (if that’s a word). And if anyone has figured out how to post a photo of the day after midnight I’d love to know the trick. Got a super cute pic of my little lovebirds (Koda & Tori) cuddling tonight and got sidetracked and missed the deadline. :(

    Thank you for posting your layouts about Jacob. They always leave me feeling uplifted rather than sad. I guess it’s the message he left us, that life is meant to be lived right now and that there is a higher power that watches over all of us, even the littlest of us.
    As for the photo of the day, when you post you have the option of saving as draft, publishing now or publishing on. Select publish on and pick your date. You can publish later or you can set the date for an earlier time. Now you know my secret. :-)

    Oh Miss Shawn! We’ll never stop missing them. Not my dad, and not your precious Jacob. Luckily we have such beautiful memories of them, and a hobby that allows us to express our feelings. BIG HUG!

    I just found your blog from a post a 2pea’s (which was on one of my LO’s and so a huge ‘ol thank you!!). I had stumbled upon your fabulous gallery one day and oh, I just sat at my computer reading and admiring Jacob, you, your sister, brother-in-law, and your whole family. And through my tears, I rejoiced about the faith and the trust that you all had. In no way does that take away your loss and without doubt, I am sure that all of you had rough days. I just wanted to say to you that Jacob and his precious little story blessed me and the strength and the bond of your family is so inspiring. May God alwayd bless you and give you comfort.
