Yep, completely stuck on how to scrap. Haven’t done it in soooo long that I just don’t even know where to begin.

Not for lack of beautiful kits to scrap with. In fact I’m beginning to wonder if that’s what’s blocking me. TOO many beautiful kits to scrap with. And yet the urge is there to go out and buy something new to spark my creativity. How crazy is that?!

The song of the day today is Alison Kraus’ Lucky One for my sister Tam. She loves bluegrass soundin’ music and this is all I could find. We were listenin’ to this sort of stuff when we did our big frozen meal cookin’ night on Sunday. Haven’t blogged about that but it was a riot and I’ve got a freezer full of awesome meals which for me is awesome ‘cuz I rarely cook. Plus we pulled it off with all my sisters and even my brother’s wife Nina so the 5 of us split up and got all the items we needed from the grocery store and Sam’s Club and then spent about 4 or 5 hours cookin’ up a storm at my mom’s. If it were up to me we’d do this once a month but apparently some of us get a little stressed out over it. ;) Maybe we should do meals every other month and do just a girls night out (chick flick, great dinner, that sort of thing) on the months off. :)

I have a busy weekend with getting ready for the convention next week. Finishing touches on the class handout stuff, laundry to do (and maybe a little more shopping before hand), tanning so I don’t look like a ghost in any photos I end up in (although I’ll be spending the weekend ducking behind people to get our of the picture anyway LOL). Plus it’s pumpkinfest weekend so I’ll be going to the parade tomorrow afternoon with the neats. Last year a couple A-10 fighter jets actually flew over the parade route so I’ve got my hopes up that we’ll get to see that again but it’s sorta a long shot. Zeeland’s about the smallest little city you’ll find. Wish my new lenses were in but they won’t be here till next tuesday. Kindof a bummer cuz I’m sure there will be so many great photo ops. :( Tuesday will be like Christmas though. According to UPS I’ll have TWO packages on my front step when I get home. My lenses and my new laptop backpack should both be arriving just in time to get all packed for Philly.

Next week is busy too. I’ll be working Monday thru Wednesday on a project developing some property management software. I’m a total geek when it comes to this stuff. It’ll hardly seem like work. :) Formulas….calculations….spreadsheets…..all from scratch…..fun fun fun!! :) Seriously I’m such a nerd. But I’m a happy nerd and that’s the important thing, right? :)

Should have this gorgeous backpack with wheels just in time for my trip to Philly next week. I’ve been stressing over whether or not I could take both my laptop and my camera on the plane as a carry-on since I don’t trust those airport luggage guys with either of them. There’s no amount of bubble wrap that would’ve made me feel comfortable. From what I’ve read, this thing should be able to nicely hold my laptop, it’s cords (which are ridiculously huge), my rebel with both lenses (gotta see if I can find some sort of smaller camera bag to keep them protected inside the backpack itself) and then I think I’ll even be able to fit 1 change of clothes, my ipod with headphones for the flight and it even has a special place for my favorite juice drink (Fuze of course). How could you beat this thing?! And it’s even got wheels so I don’t have to carry all that on my back the whole time. I will actually have to put my laptop in the main compartment in it’s own laptop sleeve because apparently it’s made for a smaller laptop but I figure that extra laptop compartment would be perfect for a couple magazines and maybe a quote book or two. :) What more could a girl ask for. Oh yeah – a touch of pink! Too cool. Can’t wait for it’s delivery so I can start packin’. :)

My favorite website has a new look this morning and I LOVE it! If you haven’t checked it out yet you MUST! Gorgeous job Amy. Can’t wait to see all the new areas as they develop. So many exciting changes and features.

And I had to use Stacie Orrico’s song for the video of the day after seeing Dani’s post in the gallery. I’ve been saving it in my list of videos. Love the song and the video is a fun one.

My ‘stuff’ is in at Screen Graphix to go try on and have screen printed in time for the convention. Off to go do that and a few other errands this morning and then finishing up my class prep to upload for the hand-out CD’s. Still hoping to do some scrapping today. And tonight I’m going out with Jill possibly to see the movie Flight Plan but it’s a warm sunny day so I’m thinking maybe a walk at the beach before that season is over might be a better idea. Gotta get a better pic for the convention photos for SBB so maybe I could get a decent one at the beach. We’ll see. I HATE having my photo taken and am horrible at posing for photos so chances are I’ll end up just using the current photo with the jungle gym in the background where I had to crop out my nephew to make it look like a photo of just me. LOL

The Interpreter DVD – Not a big Nicole Kidman fan and didn’t quite dare spend $25 to see this one in the theatre but definitely looks interesting enough to rent so hopefully I’ll have time to watch this later this week.

Been busy busy working on stuff for the convention next week. Almost have my class stuff completed. Should be able to finish it up tonight and then hoping to have time to do some creating later in the week ‘cuz I’ve got 2 LOs that just need finishing touches and oodles of photos that I’m dying to scrap.
