Imagine that in the best Napolean Dynamite voice I can muster. :) I cracked into the code for the Martina video that I was hoping to use today. It’s a little late but better late than never. :) I’ll leave it up through tomorrow because it deserves a full day of it’s own. Beautiful song and the video is perfect for the season. I’m thinking about making it a Martina McBride week since I have like 6 or 7 more Martina videos in my to-play list. :)

Now if only I could figure out how to use one of the TWO versions of Nickelback’s Photograph song in my convention slide show. I’ve got all the photos arranged, ready to pull it all together and I can’t get the song to work. :( The mp4 from itunes doesn’t work cuz it’s apparently TOO advanced. Even tried saving it to a CD and then grabbing it from there but no dice. Then I figured instead of burning up another disk I could just as well buy a new version from walmart. Well, it’s a different format too (WMA maybe?) and they put all these restrictions on their music files so I can’t even use it. I totally bought it for that one use and it won’t work. Now I’m all for the music industry being able to get paid for their art but when they restrict it to the point that I as a consumer can’t even use it for a personal home video, that’s kindof a crock.

I’ll move on for now to a new slide show I wanted to work on of Jacob. My brother created one for the funeral using Chris Rice’s Untitled Hymn but I wanted to do one that’s more about the family’s perspective/story using Natalie Grant’s song ‘Held’. Probably with a mix of photos and scrapbook pages and maybe some verses throughout. Fortunately I have the good old-fashioned CD for this song so I shouldn’t run into any issues with that.

Little comedy for you on the video of the day today. I’m not sure how these guys don’t just crack up half way through this. :) I had been holding onto a video by Martina McBride that’s one of my favorite songs & the whole video and song has sortof a halloween theme to it but then all the video sites suddenly seemed to have issues. Guess I should’ve posted it a couple weeks ago when things were still working.

Gonna be out and about quite abit for work today and then hopefully home to upload things for the store re-opening at SBB early enough to get that done before trick-or-treating tonight. Celena is coming over and her and I will go around the neighborhood behind us with Paige & Corbin and maybe Braelynn. Hopin to get lots of pics. :) I’ll be going dressed as the paparazzi. LOL Should actually be a nice night here. They’re saying the rain should hold off till later this evening and the temperature should be fairly mild. Can’t really remember a halloween where it wasn’t like 35 degrees with wind and rain so this should be a treat. :)

Wow! Why does it look so much bigger on here than it did when I was workin’ on it?! LOL Probably gonna change it cuz at this size it sorta freaks me out. Leavin’ it for now ‘cuz I changed the size of one of my side margins and the old one doesn’t work with the sizes anymore but stay tuned for something different than the above spooky one. Maybe I’ll leave it just for halloween. LOL

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming…

This week flew by but I’m so glad it’s Friday. I swear I still can’t seem to catch up on my sleep from the convention. I yawn constantly. Either that or I’m coming down with something. Hopefully it’s just convention recovery. Still can’t find my creative mojo either (if I ever had any). Beginning to wonder.

Oh, and the video of the day thing for now is gone. I’m guessing the videos are showing up on other people’s computers but for some reason I can’t get them to show up on mine for the life of me. It’s driving me crazy. I can’t even watch them at any of the websites that I download from so I’m guessing since I haven’t seen any alerts on their websites about the sites being down it’s just my computer but if I can’t watch the video first before posting it I’m a little leary to put ‘em out there. If anyone knows what kind of bug I picked up or setting got changed that took this fun toy away from me I’d love some technical advice. I’d just found two new sites with an endless supply of some GREAT videos and now I can’t even use them. :(

Kay, done whining. It’s the weekend and I get to spend it with the ones I love. :) So looking forward to that. Taking Paige and Corbin to my parents’ church talent show to watch my dad and his friend Richard do a hee haw skit. It’s become an annual tradition and is the highlight of the talent show. In fact they’re up first which hopefully means I can sneak out with the kids early on and go find something else to do with the rest of our evening. Then tomorrow morning roller skating with the kids. First time this year and they’ve been open for the season over a month now. And tomorrow night is our annual pumpkin carving party at mom & dad’s. It’s never been the same since Grandpa’s been gone but great food, family and getting up to your elbows in pumpkin guts makes for a pretty fun night. Not to mention the kids in their costumes and a pinata. Hopin’ to get some great scrappin’ pictures to maybe use with all those great halloween kits out this year. :)

Oh, and the time change. I’m one of the rare people that actually loves this time change. Although in the past it was because it meant not being so rushed in the morning to get to work on time and now that’s no longer a factor so who knows, I may actually start missing the daylight at the end of the day. I kinda like early sunsets in the fall though. Something just feels right about it. :)

My SIL e-mailed me a link to the coolest place today. I think I’ll be e-mailing them and inquiring about wireless internet access although judging by the setting I’m thinking it may be doubtful. None-the-less, the concept is awesome and if they weren’t opposed to the non-conventional sort of scrappers it sure would be fun to stay in their adorable rooms

  and get a manicure so our fingers looked all pretty working on our laptops all weekend long creating scrapbook page after scrapbook page. :)

This super cool place is called ‘Crop-a-Doodle-Do’ and it’s just north of Indianapolis so not too far of a drive for us Michiganders. I’m thinking January or February might be perfect for a trip down with the Digital Housewives and whoever else would want to join us. Maybe we could take over the whole place for a weekend so that there wouldn’t be any paper scrappers to look at us wierd. ;)

And I finally finished the new family blog. I’m posting just a screen shot rather than a link ‘cuz I’m thinkin’ for now we’ll just be keepin’ this one a little more private and who really wants to read about the vk family going’s on anyway, right? LOL But they’re actually posting stuff to it already and the banner turned out pretty cute. I’m thinking I’ll even set it as MY homepage just to see the kiddos all the time. :)
