{ Great TV }

It’s BACK! My favorite show on television started it’s second season last night. I know, I’m such a dork but this show just makes me happy. I was busy on the computer last night while watching it so I’ll definitely be watching it again this weekend but I do have a couple favorites from what I’ve seen. I think the judges were a little harsh on Lisa Rhinna/Rinna/Rina (Help me here Gina-LOL). I thought she looked amazing. And she’s 42 years old. She looks AMAZING! And her cute haircut almost makes me change my mind on what to do but I’ve all but decided to go with #2 from yesterday’s post. Anyway, LOOK at her!

And then there’s Nick Lachey’s brother. Not as cute as Nick but wow can he dance! I was thoroughly impressed. Figured he might be good but he may just give the rest of ‘em a run for their money. Hopefully P. Miller is gone this week. He practically just stood there the whole dance. Ridiculous! The sportscaster guy was horrible but I think it’d be fun to see him give a try for a few more weeks. And Jerry Rice is at the top of my list too. There are certainly other dancers who are better but he totally gets an A for effort and seemed to be such a great sport about it. So excited about the new season.

Short day of work today and hoping to have Celena and maybe Paige overnight tonight. Maybe roller skating in the morning. Scrappin’ here and there throughout the weekend. Dinner with the family for Kimmy and Dan’s birthday’s Saturday night. EnGedi Sunday morning after 2 weeks off for the holidays. Hopefully a new haircut somewhere in there. Looking to be a good weekend. :)

{ Lookin’ for a New Do }

Hairstyles_1

Yup, ready for a change. Seems like I’ve had the same hair style for about 10 years. Not sure how it happens ‘cuz I get it cut completely different every now and then but the joke is that no matter how Kelly cuts it, somehow within a couple of days I can make it look just like it always does. Doesn’t seem to matter how much she cuts off even. But I’m ready for something different so I’ve bought a new hairstyle magazine and cut out my top 3 choices. Showed some of my sisters the other day but they weren’t much help so I thought maybe I’d post the 3 choices here and get some input in the blogworld. :) I’m leaning heavily towards #2 because I think it’d be the easiest to grow into. It would still give me something new for her to do to it in the next week or so and then a good game plan to grow the back out. I can’t even remember the last time my hair was that long in the back (if ever) but somehow this particular cut seems like something I could deal with at that length. Normally the problem is that the top layers are so limp and blah by that point that it feels so flat to me. This cut has some piecey short layers through there that look so fun. I totally love the angle of #1 but I think it’s a bit more mature look than what I’m going for. And then I think the part that I love about #3 is a look that I could probably pull off with the #2 cut. I just love how the back is clipped up in the 2nd picture making it look like more of a short do. So whaddaya think?!…

In other news, GO TEXAS! Woohoo! What a game! I think they had like 18 seconds left and took the lead by 3 points with a touchdown to win the game. Pretty exciting. Okay, so I know nothing about the teams that were playing – sorry. Just found out tonight that Texas was considered the underdog which makes them a great team to route for but to be completely honest, it was Matthew McConaughey at the beginning of the game that convinced me that Texas should win the Rose Bowl. ;)

And in yet MORE news, I woke up to a super fun surprise this morning after posting my latest Effer Dare LO. Susan has picked my little ‘ol LO as the scraplift LO of the week on her digi-scraplift blog. How fun is that?! Can’t wait to see how/if anyone is inspired by the LO. To me it didn’t really feel finished so who knows, maybe I’ll get some ideas from the lifts to finish it off. :)

{ Another Effer Dare }

I decided to start back at #1 on the effer dares and work my way through. I posted the inspiration piece about a week ago and this is what I came up with:Efferdare1

I took the photo to get some practice with my camera way back last June and Helen made it look all glamorous. I’d curled my hair super curly in an attempt to look like Dawn. I so wish it just did that naturally like hers does. I guess you can’t really see from this photo that it’s even curly. Anyway, I included a heart for the inspiration piece and a quote that I thought was fitting.

I found an album to use for my new journal. I haven’t taken a pic of it yet for Kristy Ann but I will. It’s a Studio K album and it’s got tabs and everything. Should work great for keeping all of these challenges together in. :)

{ Happy New Year }

Goconfidently

Carrie Colbert posted this quote on her blog and commented on how most often it’s the first portion of the quote that is used but when you look at the entire quote it paints a very different picture. She has more to say about it that you can see on her blog. Really something I wanna think about as I head into a new year and consider making some resolutions. Little behind on that being the 2nd of January already but I’ve got some things in mind and I think I’ll do a LO about them as something to look at as a reminder now and then. Carrie also posted this verse that I think I’ll print out and put somewhere that I’ll see it often:

Summingup

Some other great links that I stumbled across last night are Kristy Ann’s blog where she’s starting a great Art Diary Challenge.  I’m heading this morning to my favorite scrapbook store and hoping to find the perfect journal to start in on this challenge. And then she had a link to another journal challenge that I’m thinking I could maybe incorporate into the same album.  Then I’m hoping to pick up a book or two while I’m there. I think there are 4 that I’m wanting to add to my idea book ‘library’ so I’ll buy 1 today with my 40% off coupon at the scrapbook store and then the others I’m heading over to Katie’s new site – ideabooks4u.com. Ideabooks

After the scrapbook store with Nina we’re heading over to Tam’s to do some digi-scrapping together. And then at 2 Andrew & Celena and I are going to see Yours, Mine & Ours at the theatre. Busy busy day but fun stuff. :)
