Just a sneak peak of the LOs I’ve been keeping in hiding for the release of the lastest Digital Memories Magazine. I downloaded my copy last night (along with an AMAZING collection of goodies for being a featured artist) and it was SO fun to see a 2 page spread full of my adorable neats right in the middle of the magazine. So honored to be featured along with some of my absolute favorite digi-scrappers. Anyway, these are just sections of the pages because I think I’m supposed to wait a month or so to post them in their entirety but I really am excited about how they turned out. I think the one of Selah is my favorite because the coloring and balance of it just came together really really cool.
In other exciting news, this morning I get to go with some of the neats to see Disney on Ice. Yay!! I’ve been to Disney on Ice probably 4 or 5 times but missed it last year and there’s a whole new group of neats that have never been. I’m taking Paige and Corbin and we’re joining Manda and Kyle with the girls and Kimberly with her girls. I’m hoping they allow cameras so I can try and get some fun pics to scrap. :)
And I want to thank everyone who left such sweet comments yesterday about the anniversary of Jacob’s death. Or those of you who even just said a little prayer for our family. I know I struggle to comment on things like that and I appreciate any thoughts and prayers or even just those who actually took the time to read the post at all. It’s always difficult for me to decide whether to post my thoughts or feelings on Jacob because I know it’s such a sensitive subject. I never even know just how to word things. Something like the ‘anniversary of his death’ sounds so terrible to me. On our family blog I listed the date as the ’2nd anniversary of Jacob’s heavenly arrival’. Anyway, I spent the day working at my sister’s office in the morning, then going to the office in Grand Rapids for a big lease closing after which we decided to celebrate with nachos and a drink around the corner from our office. (I think the first time I’ve gone out for a drink since the digital scrapbooking convention in October.) Had a bit of a breakdown on the drive home and then went to my mom’s for pizza and hanging out with some of the family. A much needed reminder of just how blessed we are. My parents are hooked on Deal or No Deal so we all went down to watch that on the big screen while the kids played with the billion toys down there. I would’ve won $750,000 by the way. The rest of the family would’ve taken the banker’s offer already at only $17,000 and a hummer. Kay, got way sidetracked there but I just really wanted to thank everyone who took the time to read yesterday. I posted about it because it didn’t feel right not to but I promise those of you who happened to just start reading my blog that it won’t always make you cry.
I’m thinking the next edition of ‘betcha didn’t know’ will be on eating habits. And mom, I’m pretty sure these will be no surprise to you. :) I also had to pick 3 favorite past LOs for the Digital Memories Magazine and since those are previous posts I think I can share the whole LOs here so I’ll include those in the next post too. Gotta start getting ready for Disney on Ice right now. :)
ok this is a bit OT but, seriously, i have been surfing around for like an 45min and have had your playlist playing for the entire time in the background (yes, i need to get my own music up to speed & get a life in the mean time, but…)… thanks for always having such great tunes – i love to not only read your blog but also listen to your latest picks! :)
I know what you mean about the words “anniversary of his death”- it does seem so harsh. So my family calls it Colin’s Angel Day- to us it just sounds so much sweeter.
Well, I just went and bought a copy of DMM. I mean, I neeeeeed more AuntiePea LOs to scraplift. LOL ;) It’s downloading now and I can’t wait to unzip and read it!
oh so beautiful layouts, i love it :O)
many greetings from germany – alice
