in regards to FOOD:
I can eat breakfast any time of the day. Most often it’s cereal or a glass of carnation instant breakfast in milk. For me either of those are a very common dinner. Occasionally I’ll go on streaks of making eggs and toast for supper or just toast with peanut butter and jelly and a big glass of milk. I drink a LOT of milk. If they served it cold enough and skim in restaurants I’d order it over a soda 9 times out of 10. I NEVER skip breakfast in the morning. Lately I have pop tarts stashed in my purse or desk drawer in case I don’t have time to stop for lunch. I truly can eat breakfast type foods all day.
I also truly believe that the healthiest way to lose weight or maintain a decent figure is to eat when you’re hungry and stop eating when you’re full. Sortof along the lines of the increasingly popular 3-hour diet. I’m pretty good at the eating only till you’re full thing. I HATE that stuffed feeling so I have no problem leaving food on my plate when I know that eating it will only make me feel miserable. When I went to Mexico with my boss last December she said I was a disgrace to the all-inclusive vacation. LOL All that free food and I’d barely finish a plate full. In fact I RARELY finish any meal ordered at a restaurant. Quite often the waitress is concerned that something was wrong with the food ‘cuz it barely looks like I touched it. It’s not a dieting plan on my part, I’m just truly stuffed and can’t eat anymore. I’m not as good at eating when I’m hungry though. I tend to get busy doing things and don’t take the time to get something to snack on or break for lunch. I’m always searching for easy snack type foods to have handy to keep the metabolism going when I’m just too busy to take a break.
I don’t like onions which tends to make me seem picky since they seem to be used in cooking sooo often. But really they’re the only thing I just really don’t like. It’s mostly the texture, so finely chopped and cooked in with something doesn’t bother me so much but raw in any size or amount – yuck!
My favorite type of food would probably be italian. All of my favorite restaurants are italian. I like any kind of meat on my pizza but no veggies. I like chinese food but have to be in the mood for it. I’m pretty much always in the mood for a chicken caesar salad.
My mom makes the best Sunday dinners on the planet evidenced by the fact that all 5 of her kids along with their families are there most every week. It’s by far the healthiest meal I eat each week.
I’m not much of a desert person but I’ll travel 3 hours for a piece of New York style Cheesecake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top from the Cheesecake Factory.
