SERIOUSLY! I’m still waiting for someone to say ‘Just kidding’.
{ NO way!! }
{ Too Funny }
Nothin’ like having posts with pictures of me in them to get me posting more often so they drop off the first page. LOL I had to change my video of the day to this hilarious dancing comedian after seeing it on Amy’s blog. Totally cracked me up. My brother (who hates that my music starts automatically) will even appreciate THIS one. Pay special attention to the cotton eye joe song Dino. Too hilarious. Had me laughing out loud at home alone like a crazy person. :) The rest of the family off sunning themselves on the beach in Florida – where are some pics?! Did you forget you have peeps back home? Seriously! Scrappin’ size too please. ;)
Kay, in case you’re reading this after I’ve returned to regularly scheduled music here’s the link to the hilarious video. :)
{ USD Top 200 & Purse Fabrics }
I made it through the first round of eliminations! Yay!! This week it gets tough though and they’re eliminating another 100 after this round. Here’s what they gave us for the round 2 challenge: This week’s challenge should give us a glimpse of who you really are – how you see yourself through your own eyes! Layout should include a photo (or photos) of yourself and meaningful thoughts of how you see yourself – “through your eyes”. Tough one. Can’t wait to see the gallery fill up though. I’ve got a few recent pictures since I’ve been trying to get photos of myself for an entirely different type of page so those should come in handy. Thinkin’ about scrapping this one and playing off the brightness of it. Hopin’ to get started on the LO tonight instead of waiting till Thursday to start like last week. :)
And then a sneak peak at some of the combos I’m planning to use for those purses I’m gonna be making later this week. How FUN are these fabrics and trim?!!
Kay, off to work. Happy Monday everyone!
{ Weekly Update }
I really do love having a blog. Not sure what my deal is lately that I can’t seem to post to it even once a week. Seems like I’m always thinking of stuff I should blog about and then when I’m at the computer there’s just so many other things I want to get done. I just don’t seem to get as much computer time as I used to. Still working on the Eclectic Whimsy site and I’ve got the FTP set up and ready to start uploading. I’ll hopefully be posting a link here in the next week or two. I’ve got about one more month of filling in while Kimberly is on maternity leave and I would love to be able to replace that income with Eclectic Whimsy work. I’ve also ordered a couple Amy Butler sewing patterns. Remember this from awhile back?
Still searching for a pattern for the fun rectangle shaped bag. Gotta work on a wedding album with Nina first so the sewing will have to wait till I can get that done.
I did finish two scrapbook pages this week. One for a great contest over at digiscrappin.biz. The gallery for week one is FULL of
amazing LOs so my odds of winning are pretty slim but so far I’ve got one LO that I actually like how it turned out on a photo that I was intimidated to scrap before now so although it would be GREAT to hear that I made it to the next round tonight there’s no loss because I took some time to scrap and came up with a fun page. I can’t post it here until after the contest is over but you can see it here for now. And the other page was just for fun. I think I actually started it about a week ago but just finished it yesterday. I tried to find papers that worked with her adorable new pants and her coat so the combination was a tough one but I actually love how they all worked together. And the clipped on silk flower was totally inspired by one of Amy Martin’s LOs. LOVE her style. You can find the full credits here.
Lets see, what else have I been up to? Seen two good movies – United 93 and The Sentinel. Would recommend both. New music discoveries – Marc Broussard and Michelle Featherstone. Leeandra and Lauren are my soul sisters in music and we love findin’ new tunes. Speaking of which, Leeandra’s got a new blog and Lauren’s just started posting again on hers. YAY! And Jen Wilson’s got a new blog AND new goodies in her store that I just can’t WAIT to use. Might be my favorite stuff she’s done yet which is saying a LOT. Wow, there’s a lotta links there. I’ll TRY and blog more often but in case it’s a day or so (or week) again those oughta keep ya entertained. :)
Oh, and I can’t go without posting about Tulip Time. I went downtown with at least some of my family on Thursday night to have some junk food for dinner and see the dutch dancers perform. Oh, and get some pictures by the tulips. :) And Leeandra’s coming to visit this coming Saturday to go to the big parade. I missed the fireworks Friday night which is RARE for me but I hope to get downtown at least a couple more times this week and then totally do the tourist from out of town thing with Leeandra on the weekend. I’m sure we’ll both be filling up a couple memory cards worth of photos. :) For now here’s one from the other night. My outfit that night perfectly matched these tulips and Eva had the cutest little dutch costume so we had to get some pictures taken together. :)
That’s all I’ve got for now. I’ll try and post again within the next 24 hours. That’s the goal. :)
